Best for a first visit that needs one Acadia coast day, one Frenchman Bay or tide-timed town outing, and no attempt to cover the entire island.
Friday
Check in near the village, walk the Shore Path, and eat lobster.
Park once, use the harbor and Cottage Street for the arrival walk, then choose Stewman's for the direct lobster-pound meal or the Reading Room for a reserved dinner.

First dinner
Start with Stewman's Lobster Pound.
A dockside choice for steamed lobster and chowder within walking distance of the pier, Shore Path, and village hotels.
Saturday
Use the clearest morning for Cadillac and the granite coast.
Drive Cadillac Summit Road only with the required reservation, then choose Ocean Path stops such as Sand Beach and Thunder Hole according to parking, weather, and NPS alerts.

Breakfast
Start with coffee, breakfast, and a realistic departure.
Use an early open cafe or packed breakfast rather than tying the morning to Jordan Pond House hours.
10:00 AM
Main activity
Drive Cadillac Summit Road, then choose the Ocean Path stops.
Use the required vehicle reservation, current NPS alerts, and weather to connect Cadillac with Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, or another open coastal stop.
4:30 PM
Afternoon
Return to Bar Harbor before dinner.
Use the Shore Path, Village Green, or the room between the park drive and dinner instead of adding another remote stop.
7:00 PM
Dinner
Choose the Reading Room or a casual village table.
A reserved dining room at Bar Harbor Inn for a quieter table, Maine seafood, and a harbor outlook near the Shore Path.
Sunday
Use the Bar Island tide window or keep the last morning in town.
Cross the land bridge only when the published low tide leaves a safe out-and-back window. Otherwise use the Abbe Museum, Shore Path, or a carriage-road stop before departure.

Sunday morning
Choose breakfast, coffee, or a short walk.
Cross to Bar Island only with the published low tide and a written return deadline. Otherwise stay on the Shore Path or in the village.
11:00 AM
One last stop
Leave by Route 3 before one more stop becomes a second park day.
Use a mainland lobster pound only when current hours and the departure route align.
